Generate a Popup Window
What URL do you wish to load into your window? This should not be your home page. It should be the URL for a form or advertisement (such as an affiliate banner) that will popup when you want.


e.g. http://www.yourdomain.com/popupfilename.html
Height:
You can adjust the height to fit your form so your users don't have to scroll vertically.

You can adjust the width to fit your form so your users don't have to scroll horizontally.

Scrollbars:
The advantage to having scrollbars is that if your form is too large for the popup window, the user can scroll to see the rest of the page. However, they may be considered unsightly if your form fits the popup window perfectly already.
Resize:
The advantage to be able to resize is that if your form is too large for the popup window, the user can open the window wider to see the rest of the page.
Location Bar:
Do you want to have an address bar on your window?
Menu Bar:
Do you want to have an menu bar on your window?
Tool Bar:
Do you want to have an tool bar on your window?

Foreground or Background:
A foreground popup is in your customer's face and prompts your users to act immediately upon entering your site. It is an extremely effective marketing tool. However, it can annoy your users when overused.

A background popup (a "pop under") is much less intrusive. They will only see it after they close down their current browser window. However, it is not as effective and your users may lose context of the relevance of the popup because they are no longer on your site.

Load on Entry or On Exit:
Do you want this popup to load immediately when your customers visit your site or do you want to have the popup load only when they leave your site?

On Entry popups are good to get your customer's attention immediately.

On Exit popups are mainly used to catch their attention when they leave your site.  You can use exit popups to survey your customers or sell other people's products.
